Last Saturday, I took my conversation partner to the Junior Museum; which is also a zoo (except that all the animals here are native to the region). I didn't know it beforehand, but like my-self, my conversation partner likes animals and nature. We discussed new and old vocabulary (he tells me that he has forgotten a lot of old vocabulary because he is now studying for TOEFL vocabulary).
During our visit, my conversation partner asks me what a good topic for a presentation he will make in class. Because we were looking at the alligator, I told him to use 'reptiles' as his topic. I discussed how reptiles include turtles, snakes, and lizards and that they are cold-blooded. We went to the reptile exhibit so he could take pictures and gather more information.
