TP #2 - Matthew

I had our second Tutor Session with Nasser today. I contacted him via phone and we got on Skype to chat. We found that Skype is super resourceful and that we can basically use this service any time we are around. I feel that I will continue to keep in touch with Nasser long after these tutoring sessions are over because of this.

Today, Nasser wanted help on dialects. He was having a hard time understanding different sounds people make, saying the same words, because of their dialect. Being online, I was able to pull up some resources on youtube and link them to him. We would listen to the short audio and then discuss what they were saying. It was interesting on what words Nasser heard compared to what I heard. I was able to help him understand different emphasis on syllables.

After, we talked about a few grammar exercises that he had for homework. He was able to read the context out loud and we would go over the problems he was having.

Overall, good session.
